SSR31 EQ

A sculpting EQ with real Pultec-style boost-and-atten curves

What it is

SSR31 EQ is built around the classic Pultec trick – boost and attenuate the
same frequency region at once, so you get full weight below the corner and
a musical dip above it – paired with a Chop-Shop-inspired tilt stage and a
GRIT saturator on the way out.

How it works, in plain terms

Signal chain: input trim, then Tilt (Focus) for a symmetric shelf pivot,
then a Pultec-style low section (boost shelf plus a broad dip), then a Lo
Contour stage that switches between a straight HPF and a parallel Lo-Rider
LPF path with its own tanh saturator, then a Pultec-style high section
(peak boost plus shelf attenuation), a selectable-slope hi-cut, a GRIT
saturation stage (ADAA tape/tube/console/grit modes), a soft limiter, and
output trim.

Features

FOCUS (TILT)

    Slope 6/12/24 dB/oct
  • Lo-Rider: parallel bass injection path with its own Mix and Drive

PULTEC HIGH

  • Freq 1.5-16 kHz, Boost, Bandwidth, Atten, Atten Freq (5/10/20 kHz)

HI-CUT

  • Freq 500 Hz – 25 kHz, optional 0.5x octave-down mode with resonance

GRIT SATURATOR

  • Mode: Tape / Tube / Console / Grit
  • Drive, Mix

SAFETY

  • Soft limiter
  • Live EQ curve display showing tilt, Pultec dip/peak and atten overlays
